NATCO Pharma Ltd (NPL), the city-based pharmaceutical company specialising in timed-release technology, has received the approval of the Medicine and Health Regulatory Agency (MHRA) to market Metronidazole 400 mg tablets in the UK.

Meanwhile, the company has also finalised its plans to raise funds to the tune of $10 million-$13 million through an issue of Foreign Currency Convertible Bonds (FCCBs) to meet its expenses on regulatory filings and other capital expenditure, according to a press release.

The company said it has received approval from the Danish Health authorities for its anti-emetic drug Ondansetron in 4 mg and 8 mg tablet forms. Following this approval, the company has initiated the process of complying with the mutual recognition procedures that would provide an entry into the European Union.
