NEW DELHI: LG Electronics India said that it would spend Rs. 100 crores on media blitzkrieg during the approaching festive season to garner a business of Rs. 1,300 crores. Announcing the publicity plans and special consumer offer for October-November at a media meet, the LGEIL Head (Marketing), Salil Kapoor, said the targeted Rs. 1,300 crore sales would be 44 per cent more than last year's sales during the festival season. Consumer electronics will contribute 50 per cent to the targeted sales, appliances 35 per cent, IT 10 per cent and GSM mobile phones 5 per cent.The company expects to achieve 31 per cent value growth in electronics category, 43 per cent in appliances and 48 per cent in IT at the end of the season.
