NEW DELHI, OCT. 13. The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs today approved the Rs. 4,091.51 crore expansion plan of the public sector giant, National Aluminium Company (Nalco). The completion of the second phase of expansion will make Nalco's refinery capacity the sixth largest in the world, sources said here today. The project is expected to be completed within 50 months once work is taken up. While 50 per cent of the funds will be generated internally, the balance would be raised by the company through commercial borrowing, the sources said.
