The onset of tourist season has seen hordes of foreigners descending on the State. The recent declaration of Kerala Tourism as the country's first tourism superbrand and the Kochi-Alapuzha backwaters as one of the 30 most beautiful waterbodies in the world has given an impetus to the State's image as a premium tourist destination.
