Coimbatore , Oct. 14

THE Indian School of Business (ISB) is organising roadshows across cities to announce the admission for its flagship one-year `Post-Graduate Programme in Management (PGP)'.

The admission team comprising Mr V.K. Menon, Director (Admission), and Mr Rahul Choudaha, Manager, is planning to visit Jaipur, Chandigarh, Pune, Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Bangalore and Chennai to create awareness about this premium institution.

The four-year old business school is planning to expand and grow over the next few years.

"We are increasing the student intake for the fifth batch to 320, from 276 in 2004. Our ultimate target is 550 per batch and we hope to have this many students enrolled within the next four to five years. We are actually scaling up the capacity,'' Mr Menon told Business Line.

Stating that the ISB PGP design structure was a mix of the West and the East, he said the formal affiliations with the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and the London Business School helped in creating an international institute with a focus on research. According to him, the ISB could not be compared with renowned management institutions like the IIMs, as its focus is more towards younger groups.
