Calicut and Madras in final

KARAIKUDI, OCT. 15. Last year's runner-up Calicut University and Madras University, with two wins each in the semi-final round robin league, will clash for the title in the last match in the South Zone inter-University (men's) basketball tournament here.

On Friday, while Calicut beat Anna 96-72 for its second win, Madras crushed Bangalore 81-25 for its second win.

The results: Calicut 96 (Manoj 26, Kiran M.Abic 35) bt Anna 72 (Sri Prakash 17, Venkatesh 25); Madras 81 (P.Kumar 16, Amarnath Gopi) bt Bangalore 25 (Sanat 10). — Our Correspondent
