NEW DELHI, OCT. 18. Eminent lawyer and Rajya Sabha member, Fali S. Nariman, has been elected president of the Bar Association of India (BAI) for three years. While Lalit Bhasin has been elected general secretary, senior advocates R.K.P. Shankardass, K. K. Venugopal, Ashok Desai, Anil Divan, P.P. Rao, G.L. Sanghvi, V.R. Reddy and P.H. Parekh, have been elected vice-presidents by the Association's governing council, a BAI release said today. K.N. Bhat, Yakesh Anand, Darshanand Gaur and S.S. Rana were elected joint secretaries. Priya Hingoorani and Prashant Kumar were elected treasurer and joint treasurer respectively. The governing council comprises representatives from all States, High Court Bar Associations and State-wise Secretaries of the Association.
