Back Reliance subscribers migrating to 93-series Our Bureau
Mangalore , Oct. 21 RELIANCE Infocomm has begun migrating its Karnataka subscribers to a 10-digit series beginning with "93". With this, all calls from any phone in Karnataka to a RIM phone in the State will be like local calls, and can be dialled without prefixing the number with the STD code. RIM subscribers in Karnataka can call each other by dialling the new 10-digit number. A Reliance Infocomm press release said here on Thursday that this has been done in keeping with the cellular mobile numbering plan in India under the new Unified Licence Regime. It comes close on the heels of the implementation of migration to "93" in Kerala, Himachal Pradesh, Haryana and Andhra Pradesh. The process of migration to "93" series is also under way in Tamil Nadu, it said. New-number information is also available on Reliance's automated enquiry numbers 30338888 or 9315093150.
