Back IT incubation centre inaugurated

MADURAI: The Tamil Nadu Governor, Mr P.S. Ramamohan Rao, inaugurated a Information Technology Incubation Centre (ITIC) promoted by the Centre for Entrepreneurship Development (CED) at Perungudi, near here, on Monday.

Established at an outlay of Rs 1 crore provided by the State and Central Governments, the centre will benefit students of southern districts who want to become entrepreneurs. It can accommodate more than 20 entrepreneurs at a time without requiring them to invest in infrastructure.

In the course of time, the initiative would lead to establishing a software technology park in the southern districts, which is expected to create 300 jobs. The Governor handed over allotment letters to two entrepreneurs for availing themselves of the facilities at the centre.
