Back Coromandel Fertilisers turnover up; profit dips

COROMANDEL Fertilisers Ltd, of the Murugappa Group, has posted a turnover of Rs 484.89 crore, other income of Rs 1.88 crore and a net profit of Rs 18.31 crore during the quarter ended September 30, 2004.

Compared to the turnover of Rs 452.14 crore and net profit of Rs 27.14 crore during the corresponding quarter last fiscal, the company's turnover increased by 7.24 per cent but the net profit declined by 32.5 per cent during the second quarter of the current year.

The company's expenditure during the second quarter of the current fiscal stood at Rs 439.65 crore against Rs 402.90 crore in the same period last year.

For the first half of the current year, the company achieved a turnover of Rs 677.33 and a net profit of Rs 39.33 crore and a profit of Rs 26.83 crore
