Back NTPC net up 18 pc

NEW DELHI: National Thermal Power Corporation has recorded an 18.4 per cent rise in net profit at Rs 1,094 crore during the second quarter ended September 30, 2004 against Rs 924.20 crore during second quarter of 2003.

The company turnover stood at Rs 5,249.70 crore. NTPC sold 6 per cent more energy for the period under review. NTPC floated an initial public offering earlier this month at Rs 62 a share having a face value of Rs 10. The shares will be listed on bourses on November 5.
