Back Nalco clocks all-time high Q2 net profit

NALCO has achieved its highest-ever quarterly net profit of Rs 275.50 crore for the second quarter ended September 30. The figure is an increase of 47 per cent over the corresponding previous period's Rs 187.18 crore.

According to the unaudited financial results taken on record at the board meeting, sales turnover increased to Rs 1,062.26 crore (Rs 864.63 crore).

Net profit before tax increased to Rs 439.27 crore (Rs 265.27 crore), while profit after tax rose to Rs 275.50 crore.

For the first half, the company clocked sales turnover of Rs 1,953.61 crore, an increase of 27.73 per cent over last year's figure.

Net profit during the period increased to Rs 494.53 crore (Rs 305.51 crore).
