It's an insult: VHP

HYDERABAD, NOV. 12. Condemning the arrest of Sri Jayendra Saraswathi, the State unit of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) has decided to organise demonstrations in all district headquarters on November 13.

In a statement here today, T. Muralidhar Rao, general secretary, said it was insulting that the revered seer was arrested in the middle of the night. The arrest was made without proper enquiry and on a mere submission of some of the accused who had surrendered, he said.

He made it clear that the agitation would continue till cases foisted against the seer were withdrawn.
