Trading in green vanilla beans

KOZHIKODE: The wholesale trading of green vanilla beans will be held at the Agricultural Wholesale Market (AWM) at Vengeri here from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on November 17 and 18. The secretary of the market, R. Venugopal, said farmers, farmer groups and associations could participate. Trading will be based on the grading of the commodity. The beans measuring six inches will be placed in the first grade, four inches to six inches (second), and those below four inches (third).
