Back Airtel to set up Wi-Fi network at Pragati Maidan Our Bureau
New Delhi , Nov. 16 AIRTEL broadband & telephone services has signed a contract with India Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO) for setting up a Wi-Fi (wireless fidelity) network at the Pragati Maidan in Delhi ahead of the International Trade Fair. This will enable Internet access available anywhere in Pargati Maidan campus with a speed up to 128 kbps (kilobits per second). The exhibitors from India and all across the globe will be able stay in touch with their head offices or partners over e-mails. They can exploit the wireless Internet to process requests and trade enquiries on a real-time basis through the new business opportunities generated at the Trade fair. Surfers will have to pay anywhere between Rs 50 for an hour and Rs 2,500 for unlimited access for 15 days, said a press statement from Airtel.
