American College HSS in final

MADURAI, NOV. 21. Defending champion American College HSS and St. Britto's HSS entered the final of the 13th annual Jayaraj Chelladurai Trophy State-level inter-school basketball tournament, defeating St. Peter's HSS (Thanjavur) 60-27 and NSVV HSS (Pattiveeranpatti) 66-43 respectively at MNU Jayaraj Nadar HSS here on Sunday.

The results: (Semifinals): American College HSS 60 (Thangavelu 20, Satheesh 13, Chandrakumar 11) bt St. Peter's HSS (Thanjavur) 27 (B. Vigneshwaran 11); St. Britto's HSS 66 (M. Anish 20, B. Arun 15, C. Palanivelrajan 11) bt NSVHSS 43 (M. Mohamed Ibrahim 13, S. Rajesh 12).

Quarterfinals: ACHSS 51 (Prasanna 17, Thangavelu 10) bt AVHSS, Paramakudi 34 (Rajeshkumar 15, Nesa Rajaperumal 15); NSVHSS 42 (J. Premkumar 16, G. Muruganantham 10) bt Railway Mixed HSS 19 (Denin C. Sharp 10).
