Rest of North Zone manages a draw

VISAKHAPATNAM, NOV. 21. Rest of North Zone managed to draw its round-robin match with Kurnool in the ACA under-13 inter-zone tournament here on Sunday.

Sharan claimed four wickets and G. Siva Kumar snapped up two wickets to reduce Rest of North to 12 runs for seven wickets chasing a 151-run target. Earlier Kurnool gained a 12-run lead in the first innings.

In the other match, Visakhapatnam gained a first-innings lead over Rest of South Zone.

The scores: Kurnool 235 and 138 (Rahamutullah 67, Subba Reddy four for 37) drew with Rest of North Zone 223 (S.H. Srinivas 88, Sharan four for 27) and 12 for seven (Sharan four wickets for five runs).

Visakhapatnam 283 for six decl. and 166 for seven (Ch. Praneeth Kumar 67, Ejaj Ahmed four for 48) drew with Rest of South Zone 221 in 62.3 overs (Prem Sagar 79, Ghouse 64, P.K. Srivastav six for 34).
