Back Qualcomm opens facility in Mumbai Our Bureau
Mumbai , Nov. 24 QUALCOMM Inc on Wednesday announced the opening of its new facility in Mumbai. This facility will be supported by resources from several business groups at Qualcomm, including the global business development, Internet services and engineering services group. "The India region is one of the fastest growing wireless markets in the world. Qualcomm's Mumbai and New Delhi facilities put us close to key CDMA operators (Reliance Infocomm and Tata Teleservices) in the region," said Mr Kanwalinder Singh, President, Qualcomm (India & SAARC). "These facilities, along with engineering facilities in Bangalore and Hyderabad underscore Qualcomm's commitment to the India region, both as a market and as a talent base." In addition to enabling growth for CDMA and W-CDMA in India and the SAARC region, the Mumbai facility will help operators differentiate their market offerings using next-generation technologies.
