SCR services praised

HYDERABAD, NOV. 24. The performance of the South Central Railway (SCR) in general and its development of passenger amenities and safety in particular, came in for appreciation from the Railway Convention Committee of Parliament.

The committee, led by the MP, Gingee N. Ramachandran, and comprising other MPs -- Rajesh Verma, K. Rama Mohana Rao, M. Rajamohan Reddy and Nizamuddin -- held a meeting with the SCR General Manager, T. Stanley Babu, and other senior officials and reviewed the performance. They promised to take up with the Union Ministry the issue pertaining to increase in funds allocation to SCR for expediting projects.
