Thrissur teams win

THRISSUR, NOV. 30. Host Thrissur's men's and women's teams started their campaigns on a winning note in the 49th State senior basketball championship at the Veterinary College court, Mannuthy here on Tuesday.

Thrissur scored a 74-44 win over Malappuram in the men's section while Thrissur women edged out Kozhikode 51-48.

The results: Men: Thrissur 74 (Abhilash 25) bt Malappuram 44.

Women: Thrissur 51 bt Kozhikode 48 (J.Gayathri 18).
