Back Rs 50-lakh biz at Print expo Our Correspondent
MADURAI: The fifth print and packaging fair `Print-n-Pack 2004' held here between November 26 and 30 has facilitated trade transactions to the tune of Rs 50 lakh and elicited business enquiries for Rs 1.5 lakh. The exhibition, which was visited by more than 40,000 persons, has attracted visitors even from Sikkim and Sri Lanka said the President of the Madurai District Tiny and Small Scale Industries Association, Mr S. Aravind. He added that the fair organised according to international standards and supported by the India Trade Promotion Organisation has helped to usher in a new industrial culture in the southern districts besides generation and promotion of employment and economic growth in the region. It has helped upgradation of technology among small-scale industrialists, he added.
