Our Bureau

HYDERABAD: Marking the International Anti-Corruption Day on December 9, Lok Satta, a non-governmental organisation campaigning against corruption, has decided to take up a week-long anti-corruption campaign beginning December 3.

The focus would be on improving confidence of people in general and students and youth in particular, according to Mr Jayaprakash Narayan, National Convener of the NGO.

Addressing a news conference here on Thursday, he said the campaign would try to bring home the message that there were solutions to get rid of corruption.

In order to spread the message, the NGO would conduct `fight against corruption' programmes in all villages and mandal headquarters on the concluding day. Walks would be conducted in all villages, towns and cities. For students, the NGO planned to conduct essay-writing contests, the former IAS officer said.
