TPS, Ludhiana takes honours

CHENNAI, DEC. 5. Tagore Public School (Ludhiana) and DAV Public School (Amristar) won the overall championship in the boys' and girls' sections respectively in the CBSE National badminton tournament, which concluded at Nehru Indoor Stadium, here on Sunday.

The results:

Individual champions: Boys u-14: 1. Rajkumar (Tagore Public School, Ludhiana). u-16: Gurbaksh Singh (Tagore Public School, Ludhiana). u-19: Himanshu Kharbaada (New Era Public School, New Delhi).

Girls: u-14: M. Chandana (VPS Public School, Vijayawada). u-16: Ch. Ramya Teja (Vishaka Valley School, Visakhapatnam). u-19: Sehar Chadha (DAV Public School, Amristar).

Team championship final: Girls u-14: VPS Public School, Vijayawada.

Best player of the tournament: Boys: Gurbaksh Singh (Tagore Public School, Ludhiana); Girls: Ramya Teja (Vishaka Valley School, Visakhapatnam).
