George does India proud

KOCHI, DEC. 8. Former National champion, George Thomas did the country proud as he picked the bronze in the men's singles and the gold in the men's doubles in the second World senior badminton championship, which concluded in Kuala Lumpur on December 5.

The Arjuna award winner won the two medals in the +35 years age-group of the competition. In the inaugural edition of the championship in Bulgaria last year, George Thomas had won the silver in the singles event.
