Army XI posts win

BANGALORE, DEC. 8. Suresh Kumar's brace of goals in the seventh and 48th minutes guided Army XI to a 4-1 victory over Canara Bank in the Deccan Herald super division league match at the KSHA Stadium here on Wednesday.

Mahadik and Elizar Lakra also scored for the winner, while John Varghese scored for Canara Bank in the 55th minute.

In another match, PCTC defeated Central Excise 3-2. S. Baig, Sunil Ekka and Kalyan Kumar scored for PCTC and Central Excise's goals came through Mandanna and T.A. Aiyappa.
