Md. Basha hits hundred

VISAKHAPATNAM, DEC. 8. Md. Basha scored a century (105, 4x11) and Pijush Benerjee batted and bowled well in Visakhapatnam Port Sports Council's 187-run win over Eastern Naval Command in the VDCA's first division institutions league here on Wednesday.

Srikanth claimed five wickets in Kent CC's 101-run win over Dynamic C.C. in the fifth division clubs league.

The scores: VPSC 274 for seven in 45 overs (Md. Basha 105, H. Vatekar 75, P. Benerjee 44, N. Satyananda Rao 25, N. Abbas three for 77) bt E.N.C. 87 in 27 overs (P. Benerjee three for 24).

Kent C.C. 156 in 42.4 overs (Mahesh Babu 35, Ganesh four for 47) bt Dynamic CC 55 in 28.4 overs (Srikanth five for 23, Nagesh four for 22).
