MP for protection of human rights

CUDDAPAH, DEC. 12. The Cuddapah MP, Y.S. Vivekananda Reddy, on Sunday called for a perceptible change in society for safeguarding human rights.

Addressing a public meeting on human rights organised by Jamaat-e-Islamic Hind on the Proddatur market yard premises, he underscored the need for human rights in a civilised society and countering its violation. Fighting for human rights would lead to safeguarding of other rights too, he stated. The Proddatur MLA, N. Varadarajulu Reddy, lamented violation of human rights at various levels and called for reformation. Lamenting growing corruption, he advised political leaders, officials and judiciary to stand by the poor.
