Back Environment Congress in Thiruvananthapuram Our Bureau
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Third Indian Environment Congress will be held in Thiruvanthapuram for three days from Thursday. The Minister for Water Resources, Mr Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan, will inaugurate the Congress on Thursday afternoon. Dr M. K. Ramachandran Nair, Vice-Chancellor, Kerala University, will preside over the function. Dr K. Radhakrishnan, Director, Indian National Centre for Ocean Information Services, Hyderabad, will deliver the keynote address. The main theme for this year's Congress will be `Environment and Development,' and there will befour sub-themes. At least 200 delegates from all over the country are expected to participate in the Congress, which will also see 100 papers being presented.
