Back Kerala: Energy conservation awards

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Principal Secretary (Power), Ms Lizzie Jacob, gave away the Kerala State Energy Conservation Awards at a function organised here on Tuesday by the Energy Management Centre (EMC), an autonomous body under the State Government.

Mr N. P. Prabhu, Managing Director, Hindustan News Print, received the award in the category of large-scale enterprises. Cochin Shipyard won the commendation certificate in this category. Hindustan Latex, Akkulam, won the commendation certificate under the medium scale category, which was received by Mr M. Ayyappan, Managing Director. Among other winners who received their respective awards/certificates were Mr Paul V. John of Sophisticated Tests and Instrumentation Centre, Kochi, and Mr K. C. Thomas of Thomson Tiles, Thrissur.
