New Delhi , Dec. 14 BHARAT Heavy Electricals Ltd-built thermal sets achieved a record generation of 214.92 billion units in the first eight months of the current fiscal against 204.48 billion units in the same period last year. In the same period, BHEL-manufactured sets clocked a plant load factor (PLF) of 73.9 per cent with an operating availability of 83 per cent against 71.9 per cent and 82.3per cent last year, a BHEL statement here said. Significantly, the Dahanu thermal power station in Maharashtra equipped with two BHEL units of 250 MW each operated at a record PLF of over 100 per cent. In addition, 33 thermal units with BHEL equipment, operating at Singrauli, Kota, Sabarmati, Kothagudem, Vijaywada, Dadri, Badarpur, Bhatinda, Wanakbori, Korba, Mettur, Unchahar, Rayalseema, Chandrapur and Tuticorin registered a high PLF of above 90 per cent.
