Back ACU president elected

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Dr K. Mohandas, Director of Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology (SCTIMST), Thiruvananthapuram, has been elected the President of the Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU) at the annual general meeting held in London. This is the first time that a Keralite is being elected to the prestigious office, a spokeswoman of the SCTIMST said here.

The association has more than 500 universities from over 32 Commonwealth countries as members and is the oldest association of universities in the world.
