Back CII seminar on good practices in Hyderabad Our Bureau
HYDERABAD: Confederation of Indian Industry is organising the CII-GMP (good manufacturing practices) conference with a focus on pharmaceutical industry here on December 20 and 21. The first in the `Summit Series' of CII-GMP would focus on the need for changing the mindset in order to modernise, harmonise and revamp legislations concerning the pharmaceutical industry and evolve transparent and fair enforcement practices. "A multi-billion dollar opportunity beacons the Indian pharmaceutical sector, both in terms of volumes and value, in the domestic as well as the global markets. It has to necessarily upgrade itself in all aspects of GMP in order to gain from the opportunity," a CII press release said here on Tuesday. The conference would discuss a range of issues like `GMP - Are we ready', `Manufacturing post 2005', `Demystifying GMP' and `the roadmap'. It would deliberate on the preparedness of the Government, industry and financial institutions in implementing GMP.
