School land: plea for Collector's intervention

By Our Special Correspondent

TIRUPATI. Dec 19. The woes of the Tamil School here continues to be unending if the latest overtures by some alleged land grabbers to occupy the land in its premises is any indication.

The president of the school and parents committee, Narra Munichandra, has in a statement urged the district Collector, S.S. Rawat, to intervene and check the attempts of some who allegedly tried to encroach into the school site even as its students, teachers and the parents were cleaning and levelling it.

He regretted that the incident should occur when the municipal authorities at the instance of the District Educational Officer were favourably responding to take over the school for its future maintenance in view of its vulnerability to repeated encroachment attempts and harassment.
