Janashakti group to step up stir for land

BHIMAVARAM, DEC. 19. The CPI (ML) Janashakti (Ramachandran) group will intensify its movement for land distribution in Godavari districts by involving public in a large scale, according to its leader, G.V. Raghavulu.

Coming down heavily on the successive governments for their `failure' to address the grievances of the poor and the landless in the State, he alleged on Sunday that no Government was striving for the welfare of the common man.

He sought the Revenue Department to conduct a survey on vacant and surplus land in the district and display the same at the offices concerned for public knowledge. Despite agitation for the past many years, the Government was deliberately neglecting the implementation of the Land Reforms Act, he alleged.
