New Delhi , Dec. 21

FOLLOWING the elevation of LG Electronics India's Managing Director, Mr K.R. Kim to the post of President, South West Asia, LG Electronics (LGE), there is set to be a key movement at the Korean chaebol's Indian operations.

Mr Moon B. Shin, who is currently Vice-President (digital appliance overseas sales and marketing) at LGE based at Seoul, will be joining the Indian operations to "assist" Mr Kim. His exact designation is yet to be finalised but officials say he would operate as an additional managing director at LG India. Mr Kim will continue to be the Managing Director of the Indian operations.

Mr Shin had earlier this month been quoted in media reports as stating that his company expected revenues from India to be around 10 per cent of total revenues by 2007 and that the focus will be on selling premium segment products in India.

LG Electronics India has become a Rs 6,500-crore company in a short span of seven years.
