Back Nabard sanctions Rs 240-cr loan for AP rural road projects

HYDERABAD: The National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (Nabard) has sanctioned Rs 240 crore as loan assistance to the Andhra Pradesh Government for implementing rural roads and rural water supply projects in the State, under the Rural Infrastructure Development Fund (RIDF).

The projects include 243 rural roads and 29 bridges to be executed in 1,906 villages at a cost of Rs 288.41 crore. An amount of Rs 16.79 crore has been provided for construction of 341 protected drinking water supply projects in remote tribal areas, according to a Nabard press release.
