GUNTUR, DEC. 24. The Guntur district police on Friday unearthed an arms dump in the forest area between Guthikonda and Julakallu villages during a routine search operation, the Additional Superintendent of Police, G.V.S.K. Ashok Kumar, said. The Communist Party of India (Maoist) representative, Ganganna, however, telephoned the police and accused them of placing the dump there. He said the police had fired 22 rounds, but there were no reports of casualties. The police, however, said there was no firing.
