'Naidu insensitive to tsunami-hit'

HYDERABAD, DEC. 28. The TDP president, N. Chandrababu Naidu's alleged participation in a procession on his way to Machilipatnam in Krishna district before visiting tsunami victims has drawn flak from the Congress Legislature Party.

The CLP today produced photographs of the Leader of the Opposition going in a convoy of four-wheelers and two-wheelers from the Gannavaram airport to Machilipatnam to see the bodies of the victims.

The Minister for Panchayat Raj, J. C. Diwakar Reddy, and the Agriculture Minister, N. Raghuveera Reddy, along with other CLP members expressed shock at Mr. Naidu flashing the `V" sign to the waiting crowd at Machilipatnam. The "insensitivity" of the TDP leader and cadres was evident when they came in a procession carrying party flags, sporting yellow shirts and hailing Mr. Naidu, they said.
