TIRUPATI. Dec. 28. The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam has been requested to take up with the Railways to get a Tirupati-bound train named after Annamayya. A request in this connection has been made to the Chairman of the TTD Trust Board, T. Subbbarami Reddy, by a local advocate and former Member of the Divisional Railway Users' Consultative Committee, G. Ramaiah Pillai, as Mr. Reddy also happens to be a Rajya Sabha member. Mr. Pillai, in a representation to the TTD Board Chairman, also suggested that the compositions of Annamacharya be played onboard the Tirupati bound train to be named after the composer so as to create devotional ambience.
