Sify establishes Inaternet centres

CHENNAI: Sify, responding to the need for reliable communications between the tsunami affected areas of Cuddalore, Nagapattinam and Kanyakumari, and Chennai, is establishing Internet centres in all these areas. These will offer free Internet access to the public, NGOs, officials and every one who wishes to use the Internet to communicate to their loved ones. The first centre in Cuddalore is already functioning while that in Kanyakumari is expected to be on stream shortly, says a release.
