HYDERABAD, DEC. 31. The writ petitions filed in the High Court seeking issuance of call letters to more people in various reserved categories for the main examination to select candidates for Group-I posts has been dismissed by the High Court on Friday. The Bench, comprising Justice G. Bikshapati and Justice B. Seshasayana Reddy, delivered the judgment in the presence of hundreds of anxious unemployed youth who thronged the High Court on Friday. The petitioners alleged that though the rules stipulated that for every post 50 candidates be permitted to write main examination, the Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission had not followed this rule in reserved categories. The commission contended that the benchmark was fixed and only such candidates who got these marks were permitted to attend the main examination. The Bench dismissed the writ plea saying that the petitioners had not made out a case.
