Camp for elephants to end tomorrow

UDHAGAMANDALAM, JAN. 2 . The `pack-up' time for temple and private elephants camping in the Mudumalai wildlife sanctuary has come. The camp began on November 18, with 65 animals from various parts of Tamil Nadu. Rajamanickam, Joint Commissioner, Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Board, told The Hindu today that the camp would end on January 4.

Lorries would arrive at Mudumalai on Monday to transport the elephants back to their temples and owners.
