BCs demand quota in legislative bodies

HYDERABAD, JAN. 3. A massive demonstration was held under the aegis of Andhra Pradesh Backward Classes Welfare Association here on Monday demanding reservation for Backward Classes in the Legislative Assembly and Parliament.

The president of the association, R. Krishnaiah, who led the demonstration at Indira park, said: "We don't want buffaloes and sheep but seats in the Assembly and Parliament to exercise our political will."

He demanded introduction of a bill on political reservation for BCs.
