Dance festival inaugurated

CHENNAI, JAN. 6. Dance Festival 2005, organised by Kartik Fine Arts, was inaugurated by the Chief General Manager, BSNL, Tamil Nadu Telcom Circle, K. Sridhara, here today.

P. Obul Reddy, industrialist, said cultural organisations need to play a larger role to promote fine arts.

The chairman, KFA, L. Sabaretnam, said the organisation had been conducting dance festivals for the past 30 years.

Artistes from Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad and USA had given performances, he said.
