Back SCR employees contributions to relief

HYDERABAD: The employees of South Central Railway (SCR) have contributed a day's salary, amounting to Rs 1.56 crore, to the Prime Minister's Relief Fund (PMRF) towards relief work in tsunami-hit areas in the southern coast.

Apart from this, the SCR gave Rs 25 lakhs to the Andhra Pradesh Government, Mr Stanley Babu, the General Manager, told newsmen here.

Similarly, the employees and management of Shriram Bioseed Genetics India Ltd donated Rs 11 lakhs to AP Chief Minister's Relief Fund. SBG's parent Company, DCM Shriram Consolidated Ltd (DSCL), contributed Rs 55 lakhs to SOS Children's Village of India, an NGO, and Indian Red Cross Society, a press release said.
