Back Pervasive Soft opens R&D centre in Bangalore Our Bureau
Bangalore , Jan. 7 TO enhance its global product development capacity, the US-based Pervasive Software Inc on Friday launched its operations in Bangalore. This move would enable the company to diversify its global capabilities both on the R&D and marketing fronts Currently employing 25 people, the company plans to increase this to 100 people by the year-end. "India will be a key product development hub for us, but this does not mean we will stop work in Austin," Mr David Sikora, President and CEO, Pervasive Software, said. Initially the Indian R&D centre will work on development of new features of existing products and later is likely to work on new releases and product lines. The company plans to develop three to five new products over the year. Pervasive Software's data infrastructure software includes Pervasive SQL.V8 database and Integrator products. Aztec Software has been a key partner for Pervasive wherein the US-headquartered firm has outsourced work to Aztec and would continue to do so, according to Mr Jaisimha Muthegere, Director of India Software Operations.
