Back Manmohan to head council on AIDS

NEW DELHI: The Prime Minister, Dr Manmohan Singh, will head the National Council on AIDS, the highest policy making body in the AIDS control effort. This is expected to bring about necessary inter-sectoral co-ordination in the campaign against AIDS making it more effective, a PMO spokesman said. A request to the Prime Minister for heading the council was made by Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, he said.
