NEW DELHI: Two-wheeler major Bajaj Auto and carmakers Maruti and Skoda are among the companies that have bagged the 6th `Overdrive' Awards 2005.

Bajaj's `Discover' motorcycle won the `Bike of the Year' as well as the `Indigenous Design of the Year' awards, while the flagship luxury model of Skoda Auto, Superb, was adjudged the `Car of the Year,' an Overdrive release said.

Maruti Alto won the award for best advertisement campaign; Tata Motors won in the commercial vehicles category and Mico-Bosch won in the auto component manufacturers segment.

The CSIR Director-General, Mr R.A. Mashelkar, was chosen as the `Person of the Year,' the release said.
