Back Global meet on SMEs in Kochi next month

ALUMNI Society of Association of Overseas Technical Scholarships (AOTS) is organising a global small and medium enterprises (SMEs) meet here during 7-13 February, bringing together delegates from 14 countries and entrepreneurs in Kerala.

AOTS is an autonomous body promoted by the Japanese government and industry. The Alumni Society of AOTS has 270 members in Kerala, who have received scholarships in Japan.

According to Mr Edgar Morris, Chairman of the Society, the `Global SME 2 SME' meet will have 58 delegates from countries such as Bangladesh, Cambodia, Egypt, Ghana, Iran, Macedonia, Malaysia, Romania, Thailand and Zambia.

The delegates for the meet have been short-listed by the respective alumni associations in their countries and approved by AOTS Japan. Mr Morris said the delegates have indicated their interest in importing a wide rage of products such as food and confectionery, spices, building materials, automobile parts and accessories to various electrical and mechanical equipment.
