THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The State Government has issued orders stipulating that students who secured admissions to various self-financing colleges from the Government quota in 2003-2004 need to be pay fees only at rates applicable to Government college students during the subsequent years.

An official spokesman said here that the order would be applicable to students seeking admission from the Government quota into self-financing medical, dental, siddha, homoeopathy, pharmacy and nursing colleges.

The order was issued in view of clarifications sought in various representations addressed to the Health Minister, Mr K. K. Ramachandran, referring to the self-financing college managements demanding higher fees fixed earlier by the Justice K.T. Thomas Commission.
